Half and Full Face Respirators
MSA and Honeywell North half and full face respirators are reusable respiratory protection systems designed to provide superior filtration and chemical protection for workers in industrial, construction, and utility environments where exposure to hazardous vapors, gases, and airborne contaminants requires advanced respiratory protection. These NIOSH-approved respirators feature interchangeable filter cartridges, comfortable silicone face seals, and durable construction that comply with OSHA respiratory protection standards while offering long-term protection for workers handling chemicals, performing spray operations, and working in contaminated environments.
What is the difference between a full face respirator and a half face respirator?
A half-mask respirator protects only the nose and mouth, whereas a full-face respirator provides coverage for the entire face, including eye protection. The selection between these options should be based on the required level of protection. Full-face respirators deliver superior protection with a higher Assigned Protection Factor (APF), making them appropriate for environments with elevated contaminant concentrations where a more complete seal is essential. Additionally, full-face masks shield the eyes from splashes and debris, making them the preferred choice for such hazardous conditions.
