Description

The Water Plus Model 210G-SVLV Sampling Rod is designed to be carried by the utility operator to each sampling site for sample collection. The rod is inserted over the male quick connect and while pressing downward, rotates the rod clockwise to screw the rod onto the valve. It requires about 1 to 1-1/2 rotations to open the valve and get the water flowing. The rod may then be flushed and flamed or decontaminated before sample collection. The water flow is regulated with the ball valve located beneath the sampling spout. The rod is then disconnected from the sampling valve by twisting the rod counter clockwise until it disengages. The protective cap is then reinstalled on the sampling station and the utility operator then moves on to the next sampling site.

The Model 210G-SVLV is constructed of all stainless-steel. The rod consists of a stainless steel spigot suitable for flaming or chlorine application, for decontamination. There is a stainless-steel throttling valve with a stainless steel handle for adjusting the water discharge for an optimal flow to gathering the water sample. A stainless-steel pressure gauge is provided for recording the water pressure at each sampling site. A PVC protective case for the rod is sold separately. Order case model number is CAS-210 (part number 106239).
