Description

The Sentinel Monitoring System with Cellular Modem offers an easy-to-install, easy-to-configure monitoring solution for locations with no access to a landline or Internet connection. The system is a powerful monitoring, alarm, and event logging system. It can monitor equipment and environmental conditions using twelve universal Zones with scalable range, built-in power failure detection, and one relay output for manual control, or automatic control from alarms. The unit will monitor and alarm on twelve zones: these can be N.O./ N.C.(Normally Open or Normally Closed) contact, 4–20mA, or 2.8K or 10K thermistor (temperature sensor). The unit will also monitor AC power, online status, and battery backup condition. On the front of the unit are LED indicators to show the operating status. Each zone (including power, online status and standby mode) has a status LED indicating the alarm status of the Zone. Multiple devices may be programmed from one powerful web-based interface. All programming and device data is stored in the cloud so that it is retained even without power. The unit is capable of performing alarm event logging of the twelve universal Zones, battery and power. A battery-backed real-time clock is also included to time-stamp logged events. Alarm notification can occur via voice call, e–mail or SMS (text message), however voice calls and text messages require a premium subscription plan. The unit comes in a weatherproof NEMA-4X rated enclosure with a cellular modem. The low cost AT&T celluar service is provided through Sensaphone so there is no fumbling with overage, sim cards or any other hassles. This model's enclosure features an opaque door and tabs for wall or panel mounting. Terminal connections for Zones, the relay output and power are easily accessible from the front of the unit. The Sentinel is powered by a plug-in adapter and has a rechargeable backup battery that will power the Sentinel and cellular modem for up to 8 hours in the event of a power failure. Circuitry in the unit will maintain precise charging of the battery system.
