Description
The Hach® DR4900 spectrophotometer is a next-generation solution built for lab professionals who rely on precise, efficient water analysis results. Designed as an evolution of the trusted DR3900, the DR4900 features an intuitive 10-inch touchscreen interface, advanced diagnostic technologies, and seamless compatibility with preprogrammed methods. Included external camera enables smart workflow features including Certificate of Analysis (COA) QR code scanning and Sample ID Text Recognition reducing manual data entry and supporting documentation tracking. Backed by Hach’s decades of expertise, the DR4900 helps labs reduce errors, improve compliance, and keep operations running smoothly. It’s everything users love—refined and reimagined for today’s demanding municipal and industrial labs.
The DR4900 is the only spectrophotometer that actively alerts users to potential errors from temperature or turbidity at critical steps before measurement, when used with Hach TNTplus reagents. It automatically corrects results to calibration temperature (20°C). Additionally, 10-fold measurement minimizes inaccuracies due to cuvette orientation or conditions due to scratches, smudges, dust or variations, and Truecal™ delivers consistent results across batches. This model includes a camera that can scan and upload Certificates of Analysis (COA) and sample ID information right at the instrument.
Features
- Modern 10-inch touchscreen interface displays large results, clear errors, and provides easy access to sample ID information and timers, helping to make your testing fully intuitive.
- Intelligent, built-in temperature and turbidity diagnostics for TNTplus vials help prevent common testing errors, reducing rework and delivering accurate results while safeguarding workflows and regulatory compliance.
- Four simultaneous timers to optimize workflows and never miss a step
- Turbidity check ensures TNTplus vial test results aren’t being compromised by the presence of turbidity in your sample. Automated alerts identify when your measurement is at risk and a filtered sample may be needed.
- Verify that your TNTplus test vial results are not impacted by the temperature of your sample. Methods were systematically evaluated for the influence of temperature and the DR4900 spectrophotometer's new integrated temperature sensor lets you know if your result is impacted.
- Engineered by chemists for chemists, the platform streamlines critical workflows, providing instant access to Certificates of Analysis, real-time sample tracking, and secure, role-based user management tailored to your operational requirements.
- Access Hach's full catalog of over 240 methods including the full TNTplus catalog of vial chemistries, and much more.
- Best-in-class spectrophotometric optical system is designed with layers of redundancy for consistent results every time.
