How do you test alkalinity?

To test alkalinity with Hach brand test kits, collect a water sample and add the provided alkalinity reagents according to the kit instructions, then titrate until the color changes from green to pink or red to determine the alkalinity level. For Hach test strips, simply dip the strip into your water sample, wait for the specified time, then compare the color on the alkalinity pad to the provided color chart to read the alkalinity concentration in mg/L or ppm.
