The Kerf Cutter offers a quick and simple solution for removing and replacing broken, damaged or sunken valve box tops. Kerf Cutter is a handheld, electric tool with a circular blade on the end. It is inserted into the valve box and cuts off the top of the damaged valve box. Once that is removed, a new top can be inserted and leveled with the pavement. The Kerf Cutter Valve Box Replacement Top (C&M P#112722) is sold separately. There is no need to cut asphalt, dig out the broken section of the road and patch the pavement, only for the road to settle and require valve box replacement again the next year.
